It is possible to say that it is a heart of the city – the park Kurgarten. People come here to walk, to listen to the fountains, to breathe the salty air at the coolers.
If the Kurgarten is the heart of Bad Reichenhall so the cooler is the heart of Kurgarten. This construction consists of the branches of Heather, in summer the salty water flows down on them, evaporates and combines with the molecules of Heather; such air is considered to be very useful. I can tell you for sure that if you come with runny nose, it will disappear in two/three days – I have checked it by myself.
At the entrance to the park there is a barometer and a thermometer, the weather forecast on the nearest three days is shown there and the central pedestrian street starts from the park – Salburgerstrasse.
