The royal lake (Königssee).
It is 31 km from Bad Reichenhall, half an hour drive. Put the address of the parking in the navigator: Jennerbahnstraße 1, 83471 Schönau am Königssee and set off!
The walk can last from some hours to the whole day, If you have spare time, see Obersee (I hope I will post the walk along this lake later).
Therefore, you park your car and go to the dock, get on the boat and float…

The boat trip is a wonderful thing, especially if you know German ))), the excursion is only in German (that was in 2011) besides, the captain of the boat makes the stops in interesting places so you can enjoy the landscapes and wonderful acoustics of the lake.
The boat makes two stops: the first is on the further part of the lake, where the trip to Obersee starts, and the second stop is at the church of the Saint Bartholomew (very famous Bavarian attraction).
Walk, sit near the water, relax and get the extraordinary energy. If the spiritual energy is not enough, so get it by the traditional gastronomic way, try trout that is sold on the dock at the church, BUT….
However, people who know strongly recommend visiting the restaurant on the further part of Obersee, one say that they cook very tasty trout. I will try it by myself and write!
I do not recommend taking children in prams with you to Obersee, the way will be difficult, and for others the walk is wonderful!
