A branch of the Freilchtmuseum Glentleiten is located near lake Himsee, on the outskirts of Amerang. The territory of the branch, of course, is smaller, but still it is quite an interesting Museum, where you can get acquainted with rural life in the districts of Kimgau and Rupertwink.

On the territory of this Museum there are 17 buildings, both residential and craft. There is a blacksmith shop, a sawmill powered by a water wheel, a bakery, etc., all buildings were built in the period from the 17th to the 19th century. Well, as in any Museum of this type, various thematic exhibitions and master classes are held
For visitors the museum works from 28 March to 8 November from 9.00 until 18.00 o'clock. The cost of the tickets: adults: 4 euros; children under 6 years: the entrance is free; children and teenagers (from 6 to 15 years): 1,50 euros; family ticket: 8 euros
How to get by car
.. you can reach us via the A8 Munich-Salzburg motorway, the Rohrdorf or Bernau exit. In Halfing go in the direction of Amerang;
or about the B304 Munich-Wasserburg, between Waaserburg and the city of Obing and further along the sign "Amerang house Museum".
From the East of Munich, you will arrive in 50 minutes. Free Parking is available on site, including for buses.
By public transport
... BAD-Endorf or Wasserburg-am-Inn station can be reached by the RVO bus or on Sundays by the local Chiemgauer railway to Amerang
