The castle Burgruine Ehrenberg

The place that will be discussed below is located far enough from bad Reichenhall, and, for sure, you need to think hard to get here from Upper Bavaria, but if You are staying somewhere in the Tyrol, or a very enthusiastic person, then this attraction is just for You. Moreover, the combination of attractions is very unusual. Meet -  Erenberg castle and the Highline 179 suspension bridge  

The castle was built around 1290. Gradually it grew in size, already in the 16th century the garrison of the castle was about 1000 people. At one time, the son of Peter I, Tsarevich Alexey, took refuge in this castle. The castle was destroyed in the 19th century by the troops of Napoleon and was not restored after that. In fact, the complex of attractions includes not only this castle, but also the protective Fort Claudia, located on the opposite mountain. Between these mountains is the longest pedestrian bridge in Europe (entrance to it is paid). 

Well? The photos have not yet convinced you that this place is a must-see. In my opinion very exciting views! Well, in addition to views of the fortress and castles below, the hotel has a playground with entertainment, there is a permanent exhibition dedicated to the fortresses, so the walk will be interesting and informative. People with disabilities, for you the viewing platforms, castles and museums are fully equipped, so you can visit these attractions, for you the entrance to the bridge costs 5 euros, a combined ticket - 10.50 euros.

Working time.

Winter (November-April): The ticket office and Shop are open from 10 to 16 o’clock, the Museum is open from 10 to 17 o’clock (entrance is up to 16 o’clock), the Bridge is open from 8.00 to 22.00 (you can shoot both sunrises and sunsets, I definitely like this place more and more!)), the funicular is open from 9 to 16 o’clock.

Summer (may-November): The ticket office and Shop are open from 9 to 18 o’clock, the Museum is open from 10 to 18 o’clock (entrance is until 17 o’clock), the Bridge is open from 8.00 to 22.00 (you can take pictures of the sunrises and sunsets, I definitely like this place more and more!)), the funicular is open from 8.30 to 22 o’clock.

From April 12, 2019, the funicular started working (if you are going to go to these places - be sure to look at the site, if the weather conditions do not work, the attraction will immediately display an ad, it is very convenient), for climbing the mountain, the cost is 7 euros for adults, 5 euros for children. 

And now attention!!! From 24 to 26 July 2020, the knights games will be held at the Erenberg castle. A very interesting historical festival in a fantastically beautiful place! The event starts at 14 o'clock in the afternoon, and the end... at 21.30 begins the night knights tournament, well, how will it go there ))))

The cost of the entrance ticket: one-time adult - 26 euros for pre-purchase, 28 euros at the daily ticket office, 13/15 euros for a teenager from 6 to 15 years old, family ticket-66/68 euros. If you buy a ticket for all days of the event, the cost for a family - 117/119 euros, for a teenager-47/49 euros, separately sold tickets for the night event-17 euros. Children under 6 years old-free of charge, please also note that a family ticket for 2 adults and one child, each subsequent child passes for free. The ticket also gives you the right to climb the funicular to the castle and pass to the highline179 bridge. If you come with Pets, please pay attention to the program of the show, because it is possible to shoot from muskets and guns.
