The gorge of wolves Wolfsklamm is situated only in 10 minutes drive from the castle Tratzberg and in 1, 5 hours drive from Bad Reichenhall (149 km). You will need a vignette, as the fastest way to it is through the paid roads of Austria.
The address for the navigator - Oberdorf 73, 6135 Stans, Austria
The gorge works from the 1st May to 31st October, the price – adults 5, 00 euros, children - 1, 50 euros, open from 9 until 16
The gorge differs from the gorge Wimbachklamm by the number of waterfalls (there are less waterfalls), but the way goes close to the rocks, through the tunnels and caves. The prize for the traveler will be the monastery of St. Leonberg where a tavern and a hotel are situated. However, be ready that the way is rather long – about 6 km, the height difference is 350 meters; there are ladders on the way. The monastery was firstly mentioned in 950 year, and the bridge, which you will have to go through – in 1497 (the stone arch bridge). Nowadays this gorge is called “the pearl of Tyrol”. I think that if you have an opportunity you should necessarily have a walk there.
