The small local history Museum Heimatmuseum Achental & Tiroler Bergweihnacht is located in the North of lake Achensee. The 16th-century building in the 21st room, located on 3 floors, tells about the life of the peasants in Tyrol. The exhibits tell about crafts, hunting, fishing, and even fire fighting.

Entrance pay for adults 4,5 euros, with guest card - 4 euros, children under 15 years - free. There are different exhibitions and master-classes in the museum, there's a schedule of interesting events.. From November to February, the Exhibition "mountain Christmas" is held, admission to it costs 6.5 euros (entrance fee to the Museum is included in the price). The Museum is open from May 1 to October 31 from 13 until 17 o’clock.
