Kufstein Fortress. Located in Austria, so if you are traveling by car, you will need a "vignette". Driving on motorways faster than on small roads will save you 30 minutes.
The easiest way to Park is in the underground garage of the shopping center at Kufstein Galerien - Feldgasse 1, 6330 Kufstein and you can walk to the castle in 5/7 minutes, no more.
Before visiting the castle, I strongly advise you to look at the Romerhofgasse street. This is a small pedestrian street, in fact; it is all that remains of the old city, but houses...are very beautiful!
It is easier to take the lift to the castle. The website: The fortress Kifstein
Working hours: from 03/11/2019 to 04/04/2019 - from 10 to 17 hours, in summer from 9 to 18 hours.
Tickets: adults - 12.50 euros, schoolchildren and students (6-25 years old) - 7.50 euros, family ticket-2 adults and many children-26 euros (up to 10 people). In winter, there are small discounts on tickets.
The fortress itself can be reached by funicular. In the castle there are two museums: weapons and something like local lore. Music festivals are held on the territory of the castle, for which a special stage is organized in the courtyard.
Take a walk in the courtyards of the castle, look at all the doors. There are no restrictions on movement, look at the underground passages of the fortress. There is also an artillery yard, pay attention to the gun from the first world war, it stands a little apart in the casemate, it seemed to me that in some cases it is fired (like in St. Petersburg at 12 o'clock).
And, if time and weather permit, listen to the organ of Heroes, it plays in the summer at 12 o'clock in the afternoon. This is one of the most famous organs in the world. Sit on the patio in a cafe and enjoy!
