The Museum is located in an old fan-type locomotive depot. If I'm not mistaken, every two hours there is a small tour showing the work of the u-turn circle. The tour is in German, but you will understand the general meaning from the show. Well, the main exhibits are steam locomotives for various types of roads, including mountain ones, some of which can only be seen here. As I understand it, this is the second largest locomotive Museum in Bavaria, the largest is located North of Munich, and you must get there!
As you can see in the photo, many locomotives are "cut" so you can see how it works. Well, for kids, of course, the most interesting thing will be the launch of the layout of Railways, there are two of them. They are smaller in size than in the Porsche Museum, but also interesting, I barely took my 6-year-old son away ))
For those who are interested in railway layouts. Basically, all these layouts are made on the basis of models produced by PIKO and ROCO (of course, not only by them, they are the most famous and large). This case is not very cheap, but very interesting. So, in Freilasing there is a store where you can get acquainted and buy something for this kind of modeling, write down the address: Sägewerkstraße 18, 83395 Freilassing
